The Spartanburg Philharmonic takes you on a tour of the heavens with The Planets: From War To Peace In Seven Movements. Gustav Holst’s symphonic blockbuster combines the wonder of myth and astrology with the power of the full orchestra; from drums booming to herald war-like Mars, to sprightly strings spinning past Mercury and swirling into the peaceful, yet mysterious Neptune. March 13th from 7 to 9 PM, in Twichell Auditorium at the Zimmerli Performance Center, on the campus of Converse College in Spartanburg.
